Tesla Charger Installation in Fort Myers, FL

Wall Connector and NACS home charging installed by licensed electricians — permitted, load-calculated, and quoted firm.

Tesla is the most common EV in Southwest Florida driveways, and the garage charger is the part Tesla doesn’t send anyone to install. That’s us. We install Wall Connectors, Universal Wall Connectors, and 240-volt outlets for Mobile Connectors across Fort Myers and the surrounding area — permitted, load-calculated, and done in one visit in most homes.

What We Install

  • Tesla Wall Connector — hardwired, up to 60-amp circuit, the fastest home charging a Tesla can take
  • Universal Wall Connector — same unit with a built-in J1772 adapter for non-Tesla EVs
  • NEMA 14-50 outlet — a 240V outlet for the Tesla Mobile Connector, the budget-friendly option
  • Panel upgrades — when your existing service can’t support a charging circuit

Sizing the Circuit Right

A Wall Connector on a 60-amp circuit adds up to 44 miles of range per hour — but only if your panel can support it. We run a load calculation first, not after. If your panel is close to its limit, we’ll show you the options: a lower-amp charging circuit that still fills the car overnight, or a panel upgrade in Fort Myers that gives the house room to grow.

What a Tesla Charger Install Costs

Installation typically runs $450 to $1,500+ depending on the distance from your panel to the garage wall, the circuit size, and whether drywall or conduit work is involved — the same range as any Level 2 charger. The Wall Connector hardware itself comes from Tesla. We quote a firm installed price up front, pull the Lee County electrical permit, and handle the inspection.

What Our Customers Say

“The technician, Kenny, was very professional and polite. He did a great job installing our new light, recently. We used SWFL Elec 5 years ago to upgrade all the electricity in our mid-century house. They did a great job and we’re very professional.” — Cathy S., via Google

Tesla Charging Questions We Hear Most

Can you install a Tesla Wall Connector I already bought?
Yes — most customers buy the Wall Connector directly from Tesla and we handle the circuit, mounting, and commissioning. We also install NEMA 14-50 outlets for the Mobile Connector if you’d rather charge that way.

What size circuit does a Tesla charger need?
The Wall Connector can be set anywhere from 15 to 60 amps. We do a load calculation on your panel first, then size the breaker and wire to the fastest charging rate your electrical service can safely support.

Will my panel handle a Tesla charger?
Many Fort Myers homes can take a 60-amp charging circuit without changes. Older 100-amp panels often can’t. We check before quoting — and if you do need more capacity, a panel upgrade solves it and we handle both in one project.

Do non-Tesla EVs work with a Wall Connector?
Tesla’s Universal Wall Connector has a built-in J1772 adapter that charges any EV, and most new EVs are switching to Tesla’s NACS plug anyway. If your household has two different brands, that’s the unit we usually recommend.

Is there still a federal tax credit for home chargers?
The federal 30C home-charger credit expired June 30, 2026, so don’t count on it. Charger pricing is straightforward though — hardware plus a one-time professional install.
